Wow its been awhile

Here are a few pictures taken by Linda (our neighbor and friend)last week while she watched her for a day and a day we were visiting. She got some really great photos of Madison, just thought I would share a few with you.

I DID IT!!!

22:12 was my time (my goal was under 40 minutes)

Well all my hardwork was finally coming to an end with my trek up the CN Tower. I have to say I wasn't looking forward to it, only because a week before I got pretty sick with a sinus infection and my medicine was only into me for 4 days. I wouldn't have missed it with all my sponsors and supporters encouraging to my lead up to the climb. I probably shouldn't have done the climb and would never again being sick - a lesson learned!

Next year Jill and Dani want to participate - I am already looking forward to next year. I would like to see what time I get in good health. I am exstatic with my results and disappointed at the same time because I am wondering what my time would have been if I was in good health.



I have a few more photos to post but just wanted to post my results. Thanks again to all my sponsors and supporters. I was really happy with the amount of money I raised $784!!

There were 5000 people going up Saturday and the previous Thursday was the team challenge with about 2000 climbers. It was amazing the people that turned out to participate - People from all walks of life and lots of kids - We can't wait to do it as a famiy next year.

CN Tower Climb

Good Afternoon

Just a quick hello. Today is Thursday and I am running the CN tower this Saturday. I have been suffering from a sinus infection and I am hoping that with the antibiotics I will be able to run it (I will walk it if I have to). We will be getting up bright and early to arrive in Toronto by 8:30 am (oh the dread of waking a tween before 10 am!!). I hope to have a few pictures to post of my success.

Maple in the County - 2010

This was the 3rd Annual Maple in the County. This is where local people/farmers open their homes/properties (to us city folks) and you can see maple syrup being made as well as buy maple products. It is great fun except the distance of driving. Many restaurants feature "maple" menus and all sorts of activities all weekend long. We normally go to a maple syrup bush for a pancake breakfast but this year Madi was quite sick a few days earlier and on medication and we just felt it was right to take her to a cold shack to eat breakfast. She still got her pancakes and syrup made by her loving mother and we went out in the afternoon. It was still quite chilly but we got warm chasing chickens!

If you haven't been you should really check it out - usually the last weekend of March.







I think Madi was more afraid of the little girl getting close to her then the sheep laying in the hay.



This is the JC Nyman farms in Picton Ontario.









Look at Mommy just getting in there and plucking out a baby lamb so her daughter can get the full experience of petting and being at the farm. Really its because Mommy loves animals and wants to touch them, I just bring the kid and blame it on her and her innocence of wanting to touch a real lamb - we're city folks!!!!



This is the farm that last year a chicken jumped on my back. This year there were no more chicken but baby pigs and many cows. Madi didn't like the cows so much. A little to large for her liking.



















This sheep and her babies I thought was so cute. Reminds me of my own life...Darn kid walks all over me! Ain't that the truth.







She likes going to this farm because of the play area and sand box! Kids










Sorry for the blurriness but I loved the smile on her face, she was having so much fun that I wanted to post the pics of her joy. Just makes you want a dozen more, until someone reminds you that they have been up all night with a teething cranky baby. NO THANKS!!

Yee Haw!! My little cowgirl



Say Hello to "Itsy" I think she weighed less than 2 lbs (if that). I wanted to put her in my pocket and take her home. She was quite friendly but run when she saw me coming...she knew I was gonna pick her up again and maul her~



Guess what her brothers name was..... wait for it....

Madi likes this dog because it was so small. She is usually pretty mean to her own dog so it was nice to see her wanting to get close to a dog.





This farm was on the Island in the county - near Demorestville - they can be booked for parties all sorts including the use of a hot tub and pool for those with the big bucks. They had a whole barn full of toddler toys - bikes, easels, play kitchen. A kids heaven for sure. This place was clean and fabulous for kids. We had never been to this farm but definitely will go there again next year.



Guess what Mommy is holding??? Its small and tiny and cute as a button!



Ahhhhh a baby chick. Madi wanted to touch these babies they were in an aquarium so no one was around and Mommy plucked one out for her little chickee and it made her day! It was worth the risk. This chick was born Thursday March 25 and we went on Saturday so this made the chick 3 days old! How cute. It was peeping so much it was cute. Randy was all panicky "put it back" "put it back" but we held it long enough to touch and have a photo op!
