Daddy's 40th Birthday - April photos

Randy's 40th Birthday gift. He has always wanted an automatic watch (no batteries - keeps ticking on the movement of body) So, he had picked out a few watches that he liked at Costco and I splurged and spoiled my husband with a watch he really wanted and LOVES. I keep calling him to ask him the time so I make him look at his watch and then I ask him "Are you looking at your watch that your LOVELY wife gave you for your birthday?" Just to remind him how lovely I am?? :-)
Auntie Leah and Grandma came to babysit Madi so Daddy and Mommy could have an evening out. When we got back I took some photos of the visitors.

Auntie Leah and cousin Jadon with all his toys. Shout out to Shelly the turtle - Hey Shelly!! (Thats for Jadon's benefit)

Below is a wonderful photo of grandma babysitting - passed out with a bottle of scotch! She's hitting the booze big time (just kidding she doesn't touch the stuff!!) but Auntie Leah thought it would be funny. Great company she was asleep by 8:00 pm no time to visit when she was sawing logs so early.

April 12 - the day after Daddy's birthday - Daddy spending the day exactly how he imagined i - on the couch with snacks watching the Masters!!

Madi is going through the dress-up stage. Here she has Daddy's vest on. She was trying so hard to put it on and it was so big that Mommy had to help her out - She always makes me laugh and smile. What a joy she is.

More of Madi being silly.

Madi wearing her big sister's boots

Big Sister Jill putting them on the dog!! He is such a good sport.

Madi at the sitter's house in the backyard - on the "wwwing" as Madi calls it. She hasn't mastered her "s" yet.

Now that the nice weather has arrived its hard to keep her indoors. She is always saying "outside, Mommy"

Above is Camille, Kim and Miss Madi.

Below is the 2nd time Madi ventured onto sand and this time BY HERSELF - The day before I went in with her for a short period but she wouldn't move - Day 2 she walked about 5 steps

And instead of walking around playing (below) you see Madi ordering Kim (or me) to shovel or rake. She doesn't like to touch the sand toys because "Mommy dirty" - She doesn't like her hands to get dirty.

I am happy to annouce she now will play with the sand but she has to have shoes and socks on. She can't be in sandals or barefeet (yet) something more to work on. However, she will shovel the sand and walk through it on her own. Yippee a break through.
Thanks again for visiting - See you soon.

April Visit

Madi wearing her big sister Jill's rubber boots

Grandma visiting with Madi - Babysitting while Mommy takes Daddy out for his big 40 celebrations.

Madi and cousin Jadon playing outside.

Hopscotch anyone. One of Madi's favorite past time is to be outside watching Mommy writing with sidewalk chalk.

Not sure what they are doing.

Madi (below) standing on Daddy's Happy 40th Birthday sign in chalk.

Aunti Leah experimenting with her new hot rollers.

There is no vanity in our family - she has it all!!

Ain't she pretty???

Yupper doodle!!

Thanks for visiting Auntie Leah!!

Madi hanging on the couch before Auntie Leah and Grandma arrive.

Spring has finally SPRUNG!!

Kids will be kids. We were getting ready for swimming and Madi grabbed her swim diaper and put on her head and said "Hat"!! Not quite but no matter what she is wearing she's still adorable.

Hamming it up for Mommy. She thought she was funny.

We had a hard time getting it off her, she wanted to have it on during dinner.

Jillian's horseback riding. Ponto Ranch!! (Wink wink - sounds better than Bauder Ranch)
Jillian is riding Echo. It was so funny seeing the saddle go on the horse because it was so small compared to what she normally has on.

Going through pylons for drills. Practice Practice Practice - I think Jillian smiled the whole morning until I told her it was time to go!!

I think Jillian would have moved in to the horse shed. Below Jill is working on balance. She even got her to trot. TTTTTRRROT - thats how you said it to get her going into a trot.

More balancing

Hitting the Park (Riverside Park aka Pirate Park)

This is one of Madi's favorite parts of the park. The teeter totter. (spelled??)

Of course she saw another kid stand up so Madi had to follow. We like this park because there is no sand and we all know Madi hates sand! Thank goodness there is a park without it.

Down the slide by herself. Jillian took this photo.

And this photo

And this photo

And this photo.

Madi really liked this bridge. She would run back and forth for a long time. Its so much fun taking her to a park now she goes crazy running and playing.
