Bowmanville Zoo & Woodbine Fantasy Fair (All in a Day)

Well there are no Zoo photos because it poured rain and we were only there for about 40 minutes. We were drowned rats after that but we did walk through even if it was short. We didn't want the whole day to be shot so we then drove to Woodbine Mall and went to the Fantasy Fair. Madison's favorite ride - the Carousel. She loved the horses.

I am sure the smile tells it all.

Then we went on the train ride around the mall - She liked it until......

(Hold on tight as Madi says)

The Cave - She liked the ride until that point.

I love the look on her face - it cracks me up

Then onto this ride that twirled when you turned the round black thing in the center - and did Madi turn it. I had to stop it from turning it made me nauseas but she loved it.

(above) I love that photo!! She is so friggin cute!!

(below) faking a smile for us.

Back on to the Carousel (of course)

She smiled from ear to ear on the ride from start to finish

Down the slide in the play area. This area was huge but we only did the small slide cause Mommy didn't want to get stuck in a big slide. Maybe next time when she is older.

Back on the train but not enjoying it the second time. She didn't want to go in the cave again.

Almost done the ride and Madi couldn't wait to get off.

And after such an exciting day someone was a little tired.....

Yes, thats right - Madi sleeps with her blanket in her mouth. She never used a soother but this is how she always falls asleep. My precious little girl and below my lovely husband. We were both pretty tired after all that walking and driving but it was worth it.

Muah!! I love him

My Pool (Madi's that is)

Not sure if you can tell by my little fuss pot is wearing water shoes and sitting on a bucket because well....she is my little fuss pot. She loved the pool and was in it for over an hour so now she wants it in the morning, afternoon, doesn't matter. Its her after nap treat.

(above) Madi is checking out Linda's Monster Bubble belly guy, that spins and opens his mouth and makes bubbles. That's right - makes the bubbles for you. No more getting light headed from blowing bubbles. Of course Mommy put the monster in the back of the pool so I could "try" and get a picture with Madi and the blower but Linda got smart moved it to the front so she would face the camera. Linda really is wise when it comes to kids. She is better and this kid stuff than me.

(below) Madi telling us that she can see the Monster's mouth open and close and his tongue. We like monsters that are not scary!! He is a cutie.

See you next time for some more summer time fun

In Her Father's Shoes

Here she is wearing her Daddy's crocs. Madi has this thing lately she likes to put on Daddy or Mommy's shoes and try to walk in them. Must be a girl thing and don't you dare take them off, she gets very mad at you if you try.

Having a snack with the sandals. She wouldn't sit nicely unless she had the crocs on.

In her Daddy's running shoes.

She's still cute not matter what she wears.

Even a basket

And wearing Daddy's work boots. These boots were made for walking.....

They are steel toe and very heavy - these I like she can't get anywhere fast!

Madibug's 2nd Birthday (Mommy/Daddy Version)

THE CAKE!! The party was not really for Madi it was to show off my cake making skills! Not bad for my first one.
(Below) Madi in her ladybug dress holding a ladybug magnet she got in a card in the mail from a girl I work with Amy Power. She hugged this little bug and carried it everywhere.

(Below) She is showing everyone that the ladybug magnet is the "same" as the one on her dress.

Taking a good look at her ladybug magnet.

The guests.

The cocoon game

(Below)
Jody and Stephanie (her daughter) playing the game and a very sad looking Jadon because the toilet paper was not working for him. You had to be extra careful.

Too frustrating for the kids so Auntie Leah (Shannon's sister) wrapping Jadon up (her son).

Opening her gift from the Brookers - the best bath toy - she won't leave that thing alone. Dora and Deigo slide with swiper in a tree and only appears when you pour water down the tree.

(below)
In the background if you look carefully I finally got a picture of Linda AND her husband Michael our neighbors across the street who bought Madi the most amazing wagon.
PS - Madi wants you to know she loves her wagon
Thats all from my pictures I was too busy hosting the party and forgot to take pictures of the decorations and banner!! Oh poop!

Madi's Birthday - Linda's Version

Making Ladybug wings and hats

(below) Wrapping parents or grandparents in toilet paper for a "cocoon" wrapping contest. The winner was Daniella wrapper her Oma - The toilet paper kept ripping for people but Dani managed to get it done and pretty impressively too.

Making bug picture frames. Notice the little lady bug on Madi's dress!! That is the red spot on her left shoulder.

Present time. New Robeez from Grandma Brown

(below) Madi opening the coolest blocks from her Oma and Opa - They are foam and fit together so nicely - Mommy and Daddy are having lots of fun building houses and Madi knocking them down.

The guests watching Madi open presents.

Madi opening her gift from Mommy, Daddy, Jill, and Dani. Her Super GEO TRAX train set. It took Daddy and Dani a good 2 hours to put it together. I will have to get a picture of it together for the blog. Its really cool.

Still opening gifts.

Almost done

Tadaa! The biggest train trax

(below) Madi waiting patiently for her last present from Michael and Linda and when she saw it she whispered "A WAGON"
