Madi's first "real" camping experience - She was too young last year (only 4 weeks). Little did we know she was not going to like the dirt ground and sandy campsite/beach area. So Mommy thought she would be smart and buy her new running shoes so the dirt and sand wouldn't go into her shoe like her sandals whoever Madi cannot be fooled! For 3 days she whinned and cried a bit (My little Fusspot) when she was put on the ground but was way better by the 3rd day and the shoes did help a little.
Opa and Madi time - Reading a book and staying off the ground.
Here we are getting ready for the beach. You notice the bamboo mat, Madi would rarely venture off it (who needs a playpen) maybe on the last day or so she would venture off a bit. The girls even carried buckets of sand (we forgot to get a picture) and made her, her very own special sandbox and lined it with wood so she could get use to the sand. We put her in front of it and she just cried! All that effort from her sisters and that is the thanks she shows!!

Here we are (below) at the beach. She didn't mind walking on the water and sand but not for long. Oma could get her to walk but it was only if she disattracted her with splashing and making it fun otherwise she started up again..... FUSSPOT!!

I think I need to crop the picture below, that butt is just not pretty!!

Oh, and crop this one too!

We put up these beach tents and again, she would not venture off past the plastic bottom of the tent or the bamboo mat! My kid is alot of work!! But she did enjoy herself in the tent.

During our camping week our fridge went on the fritz (brand new??) so while we wait for the repairman to come (glad I paid for extended warranty still takes them a week to fix it) we decided to clean it out and we had to move everything out. Of course, where is Madi right under our feet getting right involved! Too bad she didn't know how to use a rag and soapy water!!
You also might be able to see th cut under her nose well that was where she fell on the cement then later that night she fell again at home and got a bloody nose and fat/cut lip! Blood on Mommy and Madi and Daddy tried to clean her up and give her a popsicle for the swelling but she wanted no part of it. She only wanted cuddles from her MOMMY!! There is no better feeling than your baby wanting your comfort. I guess those are the small rewards in motherhood!
